Accessible PDF Integration
All embedded PDFs follow BITV 2.0, WCAG 2.1, and PDF/UA standards. With Adobe Acrobat DC and CommonLook, we add alt text, clickable links, accessible tables of contents, and full assistive technology support.
Accessibility status and file size are also shown in context.
Graphics and Icons
Interactive graphics are only used when universally understandable and always include alt text. We ensure high contrast and prefer SVG icons for accessibility and scalability, meeting EN 301 549 and WCAG standards.
All icons are fully focusable and usable via mouse, keyboard, or touch.
Accessibility Testing & Tools
We integrate automated and manual accessibility testing tools like axe, IBM Equal Access Checker, and Google Lighthouse for compliance, plusscreen readers, keyboard navigation, Colour Contrast Analyzer for usability.
W3C Validator, Rocket Validator, Koally, Totally for markup/focus, and BrowserStack for cross-browser/device checks. Post-launch BITV, WCAG EM Tool validate full accessibility compliance.
Plain Language
We design interfaces to be intuitive, needing little explanation. When help texts are required, they use clear, plain language with short sentences, headings, and emphasis.
